And Jenny Flanagan, of Colorado Common Cause, offers phone numbers and a website for folks with questions or problems during this voting season (and beyond!). This live hour unscripted talk show includes one of the brightly colored cycles destined to make some child happy, while also exercising muscles and limbs otherwise left wishing.

Managing with a very short growing season and water constraints, she and her interns have created magic. Tour the sun-warmed, insulated greenhouse where greens are grown year-round. It's home to a waterfall and pond with fish, trellises for grapes and seedlings, artwork for the soul, and mushrooms growing from straw.

Nevada County locals Loraine Webb and Jim Wray demonstrate the how and why of packaging bulk foods with nitrogen. They're using equipment available for community members to use at minimal cost. Jim demonstrates packaging: make plastic bags using a heat sealer, fill with foodstuffs, suck out the oxygen with a small vacuum, then replace the air with nitrogen and seal.
