Matt Anderson rode his bike to raise funds for The Hangout in 2009, and succeeded very well at his goal. This episode of Brainiacs includes Lowell Friedrick and Tom Froseth of The Hangout as guests, with Rick Prokaski hosting today.
For bicycle marathon enthusiasts, Matt reveals plenty of details of his training and draining on a two-wheeled beast.

The Hangout is a support group for people with brain injuries and other neurological disability to socialize, share educational topics, outings and friends. A Tuesday group and a Thursday group operate weekly, with three-hour meetings during the day.
Some of THE HANGOUT'S speakers include topics like the library system books for blind people, how to deal with short term memory loss, depression, Gary Crabtree's film making before and after his brain injury, occasional brain surgeons, how to ride the bus, nutritional concerns, and a wide variety of others.
The Hangout also hosts regular parties like its Halloween costume contest, a talent contest, a Christmas party, and the occasional picnic/bbq.
