On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations.

In March 2015, Irie Still was the featured musical act and the "Nonprofit Spotlight" was on MCPN, the Metro Community Provider Network.
