Joint Budget Committee reported 1/21/2010 on the Developmentally Disabled funding
In Project: Brainiacs

The long waiting lists for Developmentally Disabled people who qualify for services but remain standing in the rain (or snow) gets a brief report before the Joint meeting of the House and Senate Health and Human Services Committees on 1/21/2010. It's worse than last year and there is no more money. Except, Paula Rhoads testified: medical marijuana revenues could logically be restricted in statute for the DD because the smokers of medical marijuana are largely disabled people. Senator Moe Keller, chair of the JBC, reviews various programs' funding and cuts, including an additional 2 percent cut to Medicaid providers on top of the 3.5 percent cuts in the past two years. This footage is 48minutes and 48 seconds long.
