The 2012 Brainstorm Conference March 2, 2012 in Lafayette, Colorado presented the Honorable Senator Irene Aguilar discussing her legislation this year, as well as Gavin Attwood, Executive Director of the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado, discussing the BIAC focus, including housing and statewide networking to bring tbi programs to the hinterlands also.

But first, we bring you a few minutes of videotape from the 2009 BIAC Conference in which Dr. Valorie Stone, an international brain injury researcher, presents consideration of evaluating tbi disabilities via social IQ, not just by cognitive functions.

Dr. Stone is slated as the featured speaker March 14 for the BIAC webinar connecting 10 or 12 sites around the state as part of BRAIN INJURY AWARENESS MONTH.

We hope Colorado citizens will also become aware that the brain can repair itself, contrary to prior popular opinion, so a whole group of us are coming back!!!!

In that light, we featured a second hour of programming on March 10, which featured Boulder psychotherapist David Delaney discussing NEUROFEEDBACK and NEUROPLASTICITY.
