Four and a half years ago, Bill Levis's son suffered a disabling brain injury that brought him and his wife into the terrible need to find resources. Today, Levis is president of the board of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado, the lead nonprofit connecting people with brain injuries to a variety of services. Levis joins Host Nancy Ulrich and BIAC Executive Director Gavin Attwood in describing adventure camps that motivate hardworking survivors in summer and winter, and legislative efforts to put more funding into the state's Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund providing grants to survivors. Plus, the Brain Injury Association of Colorado's annual conference features topdrawer regional physicians and professors in the field of brain injury. The last five minutes features the Bethany Lutheran Church choir dress rehearsel in preparation to perform Handel's Messiah.
