A while back I was doing one of my RV shows in Dayton Ohio and had a morning free so while driving around I spotted a 20' tall porcelain and neon Packard automobile sign. Since the last Packard rolled of the assembly line on June 25, 1956, I had to stop and look in the showroom window that had Packard’s on display. I was at AMERICA'S PACKARD MUSEUM located on S. LUDLOW STREET, downtown DAYTON. Dayton attorney and long-time car collector Bob Signom founded America’s Packard Museum in 1992 and used the name The Citizens Motorcar Company. It’s located in an original Packard dealership building that was constructed in 1917. The Citizens Motorcar Company sold Packard’s in Dayton beginning in 1908 and was also part of the official Packard distributorship network for much of the Midwest.
