On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Santa Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations. The August 2016 broadcast features a live musical performance by Kenny Lee Young, stand up comedy from Miriam Moreno, and a nonprofit spotlight on Dance 2B Free.
