After General Flavius Aëtius frees the Roman Empire from the clutches of Attila the Hun, Rome is once again secure. However, this assurance is short-lived, as the growing power of General Flavius becomes a threat to the Senate and the Emperor of Rome, hence Flavius becomes a victim of assassination by the political hierarchy. This sets the Empire for the next two decades of intense corruption and turmoil, and brings Rome to its inevitable demise. While the Barbarians are finally free to fulfill their 400 years dream of Roman destruction.
