<p>Nuba Water Project is a humanitarian organization working in Sudan, an East African country racked by decades of civil war. Founded by two Sudanese refugees now living in the United States and a Denver businessman, Nuba Water Project is bringing “water and life” to the people of Sudan. The Project raises funds to construct water infrastructure and refugee housing that are in desperately short supply throughout Sudan, and especially in the Nuba Mountains.<br /><br />Nuba Water Project is a 501c3 charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible.

Local high school students will get a taste of Wall Street during the JA Stock Market Challenge student event, while the evening event features forty corporate teams . The teams compete to see who can grow their "mock" stock portfolio to achieve the highest overall net worth. Teams are issued $500,000 in mock stock to invest in 26 fictious companies. For the high school event, each trading day lasts just sixty seconds, while the trading days for the corporate event last 80 seconds.

“Ironically, 99 years ago this week, a train left Newark, N.J., for Jesup Station, Ga., carrying some of the wealthiest, most powerful people in the world. They met in secret at the Jekyll Island Club and laid the plans to create the Federal Reserve System.

For two weeks in November, delegates representing The People of the fifty states will join together in the tradition of the Founding Fathers and their Continental Congress of 1774. Continental Congress 2009 will convene as a national assembly of We The People and attest to the increasing abuses of our Governing Documents. Together, we will decide what peaceful, legal steps can be taken to bring about compliance with our Freedom documents.
