The Ed Reinhart/Tony Bruno Adventure Camp Golf Tournament gave sunburns to plenty of people Thursday, and also raised funds to send TBI survivors to camp to get more sunburns. Our photographer bothers just about everybody to get some fun footage so you can feel like you were there too.
Pete Bruno gives away a lot of prizes, Ed Reinhart Sr. takes a lot of photos, Ed Junior sings a song from Blazing Saddles and nobody won the car for a hole in one on the 16th Green. We missed Tony Bruno's poetry, but Paula goes to camp in September, so maybe there's still time to catch up on that one.
We fill the end of the show with video from last year's melodrama "Alaska" in Pitkin, Colorado, with Director Nancy Mitchell singing the opening number, and Juliet Rose playing the nasty villainess to ????'s meek maiden missing her love.
The PItkin Players will not be presenting a melodrama this year, however, but they will present a comedy without all the popcorn throwing, later in July.
If you need an inexpensive vacation, consider the historic Pitkin Hotel, which probably will close in October this year. It's the cheapest place in the state at $20 per person.
