Open Media Generation interviewed the Denver community about Gun Violence in schools, because gun violence in schools is a huge topic in our society. We interviewed people from the 16th street mall, and even created a PSA about a student's reaction to gun violence. Leila Parker, South High School student, was interviewed because she created a PSA about a student's experience of real serious situations about gun violence at schools. We were also able to interview the Sheriff of Arapahoe County, CO, David Walcher, who shared his thoughts as the first responder of Columbine High School in 1999.

Open Media Generation is a free, weekly after-school program for Denver Metro youth ages 11-18 and young adults ages 19-21 are welcome to join as peer leaders. All youth are encouraged to participate in Open Media Generation without restriction of finances.
