The M5 hand-held camera stabilizer is suitable to handle DSLRs and video cameras weighing up to 5lb. The compact form factor and lightweight nature of the M5 make it apt for use in weddings or other photo shoots. The M5 uses three motors and an IMU (inertial measurement unit) to detect and counteract unwanted movement along three axes: pan, tilt, and roll. In particular, compensating for handshake or vehicle-induced vibration and reducing translation. This is a 3-axis Gimbal Video Stabilizer.
The MIMIC control method eliminates any joysticks, knobs, or wheels. Just tilt, pan, or roll and the MoVI M5 will follow. The MIMIC allows operators to execute complex moving shots with precise framing after just minutes of practice.
The Pelican travel case has a small form factor allowing simple and efficient travel between productions. The molded, hard-shell exterior is sized to meet airline regulations and is unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical resistant, and corrosion proof. With provisions for padlocking, the travel case is also tamperproof. A retractable trolley handle and polyurethane wheels make the case easy to transport a MoVI M5 across the room or around the world. The custom-cut protective foam interior provides shockproof protection for the stabilizer along with accessories such as 7" and 4" flat panel monitors.
