During a visit to Memorial Park in Colorado Springs I came across the Buffalo Soldiers Community Memorial. The memorial is located, near Prospect Lake, in what is referred to as the circle of honor. I’d been hearing dribs and drabs about Buffalo Soldiers over the years and wondered why a memorial in Colorado Springs. So with a few well-placed computer keystrokes I came across Colorado Springs residents; Dennis R. Moore and Wille H. Breazell that I easily can say are the “brain trust” on this subject.
