Host Jaime Lewis and Host Rick Prokaski join Joe Beaver, president of the board of the Colorado Cross Disability Coalition, in discussing healthcare reform and the state budget cuts announced a few days ago. The mentally ill and the disabled took a disproportionate hit, in the opinions of some, including Julie Reiskin, director of the CCDC. Meanwhile, the Brain Injury Association of Colorado's ED Gavin Attwood prepares for the Pike's Peak Challenge in September and the annual conference in October in Denver.
